For the experienced, putting together their first Tickblaze trading environment is a simple matter of selecting the Tickblaze trading tools that are needed to provide the information and functionality needed to implement their trading plan. For an inexperienced trader, putting together their first Tickblaze trading environment is a process of learning, discovery and experimentation. Ideally, this process includes the development of a Trading Plan.



Creating your first trading environment for the experienced trader


If you have experience with putting together trading environments in one or more trading platforms, you are ready to jump right in and assemble the preferred building blocks into your personalized trading environment. You can follow these steps to quickly set up your own trading environment and be ready to start trading right away:


1.If you haven't done so already, follow the steps in this "Getting Started" section to install the software, set up your data and broker connections and familiarize with the concepts of Tickblaze Desktops and Workspaces. The Overview of Platform Organization and Terminology section offers additional details about Desktops and Workspaces as well as familiarization with standard trading tools for those who need it.

2.Once you have taken care of the basics in step 1, proceed to the Detailed Usage Instructions section, where you will find "how to" instructions for configuring and using all Tickblaze tools. Select the tools you need for your trading environment and add them to your Desktop(s) and Workspace(s) using the instructions provided in the Detailed Usage Instructions section.

Creating your first trading environment for the novice or less experienced trader


If you are new to trading, or if you are still "learning the ropes" in trading, and you have not traded using an advanced full-featured trading platform, keep reading. You want and need some guidance and tips on how to best set up a trading environment that suits your needs and makes your learning experience a much better one. We will suggest the best way to get started and make it easier to learn how to trade with Tickblaze in a way that allows you to focus on trading and becoming a better trader rather than wasting precious time dealing with the challenges of technology. Follow these steps to achieve your trading goals faster and more successfully:


1.If you are completely new to trading, you should first ensure that you have a solid understanding of the basic concepts of trading. There is a wealth of online resources that provide excellent introductions to trading concepts, or you may choose to take a course or join a trading school. Mastering the basics of trading first will ensure smooth sailing through your efforts to learn how to use Tickblaze and create your first trading environment. Once you have met these requirements, proceed to step 3 below.
