The Security Master is used for creating and editing exchanges. Each exchange maps to a single destination and includes all of its symbols, trading schedules and market holidays, among others. The exchange definitions are extensively used by the platform and are automatically updated as part of our service. You can update the exchange definitions from our latest distribution by going to Menu\Desktops\Update System Resources.

You can’t edit and overwrite our exchange definitions but you can edit and save them under a new name. Note that any changes or additions to an existing exchange requires a platform restart to fully take effect.

Schedule

In the schedule tab you can specify the exchange time zone, its Market Identifier Code (MIC) and its trading hours.

Holidays

In the holidays tab you can specify the days in which the exchange was closed or had different trading hours than usual. When the exchange closes early you can leave the Start Time as 00:00:00 so that both RTH and ETH use their default opening times but use the specified End Time for the session close.

Map

In the map tab you can specify the exchange mnemonics used by the data and broker providers to identify the exchange.

Symbols
